Psychedelia Britannia

Project: In this project, I was challenged to create a social media style web application, architect a database to incorporate users and their posts, and build with scalability in mind. I chose to create and brand a web journal application centering around the psychedelic community. The main goal was to create a way for users to create both public and private posts to help grow a community focused on helping each other.

Challenges: architecting, building, and maintaining a database. Making sure user accounts and information are secure. Adequately pulling the proper information for each post.

Successes: Was able to create a database-driven web app that incorporates multiple users, database architecture that is built for growth, and focused on user privacy.

Off Street Tacos

Project: I was tasked with creating a complete brand identity and web campaign for a fictitious client in an assigned industry. After being assigned to the automotive industry, I decided to create a brand that centered around the off-roading community specifically catering to Toyota Tacomas. To create a successful brand and campaign, I utilized not only customer personas but also a persona for the client. I decided to create a woman owned business whose goal was to bring diversity and inclusion into what is largely seen as a male hobby.

Challenges: Market research. Quick turn around. Branding. Static HTML

Successes: Created a fully integrated branded website. Utilized the creation of a client avatar as well as a customer avatar to better get a hand on how to tackle the project brief.

Tech Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MailChimp, Photoshop
